Protocol Layer: The basis of Web3. Networks, architecture. Includes layer 1 and scaling solutions.
Infrastructure: Interoperable building block. Tools that are good at doing one specific thing. Eg IPFS for storage of metadata. Dune Analytics for parsing Protocol Layer transactions.
Use Case Layer: Combining multiple tools to create a usable app. Eg. Opensea pulls together IPFS, and transactions from ETH on a userinterace that allows users to buy/sell/trade.
Access Layer: A users way to access tools, apps.
The power of Web3 lies in its modularity and interoperability.
